How to Use
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the wheel spinner work?
The wheel generates a random rotation angle, then animates with a smooth ease-out effect. All options get equal segment sizes and equal probability. The pointer at the top of the wheel shows the winner when it stops.
Can I add my own options?
Yes. Type any option (up to 30 characters) and click Add or press Enter. You can add up to 20 options. Click the x button next to any option to remove it. The wheel redraws immediately after any change.
How do I use this for classroom activities?
Type all student names into the options list. Click Spin to randomly call on a student. Enable "Remove winner after spin" so the same student is not called twice. This is a fair and engaging way to select students for answers, presentations, or activities.
Is the wheel spinner truly random?
Yes. The random landing angle is generated using JavaScript's Math.random() function. Each segment has equal size, so each option has exactly the same probability: 1 divided by the number of options.
Can I remove options after spinning?
Yes. Toggle "Remove winner after spin" before your first spin. After the wheel stops, the winning option is removed and the wheel redraws with the remaining options. Useful for pick-one-then-remove scenarios like gift draws or game eliminations.
