Short version: We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. All tool calculations happen in your browser. The only data stored locally is your last-used tool settings, saved in your browser's localStorage so you do not need to re-enter values on your next visit.
1. No Personal Data Collected
IWantFreeTools does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We do not have user accounts, email sign-ups, contact forms that store data, or any system for identifying individual users.
2. How Our Tools Work
All calculations and generation on this site happen entirely within your web browser. When you use any calculator or generator:
- The numbers and inputs you enter are processed by JavaScript running locally in your browser.
- No input data is sent to our servers or any third-party server.
- Passwords generated on this site never leave your browser. They are created using the Web Cryptography API (crypto.getRandomValues()) which runs locally.
3. localStorage (Browser Storage)
To improve your experience, each tool saves your last-used inputs in your browser's localStorage. For example, if you set the password generator length to 20 characters, it will remember that setting on your next visit.
This data:
- Stays entirely on your device
- Is never transmitted to any server
- Contains only tool settings (numbers, unit preferences)
- Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site in aggregate. This collects anonymous information including pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general geographic region (country level). Google Analytics uses cookies and may set a unique identifier in your browser.
Google Analytics does not allow us to identify individual visitors. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Google AdSense
This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
