We built IWantFreeTools because most online developer tool sites are cluttered, slow, and bury their results behind ads and popups. Every tool here loads instantly, gives you context for the result, and never asks for your email address or credit card.

Our tools
Developer tools: JSON formatter, regex tester, base64 encoder, UUID generator, password generator, text diff, slug generator, UTM builder, and more. Text tools: word counter, case converter, character counter, lorem ipsum, remove line breaks, and remove duplicate lines. Everything runs entirely in your browser. No data ever leaves your device.

Privacy
We do not collect personal data. Tools save your last inputs locally in your browser (localStorage) so you do not have to retype them on your next visit. No accounts. No tracking beyond standard analytics. See our privacy policy for full details.
Who this is for
These tools are built for people who need one thing done quickly and do not want a subscription for it. Developers checking an API response between meetings. Freelancers converting units for a client quote. Students working out a word count the night before a deadline. Use one twice a year or twice an hour, it costs the same and asks the same of you, which is nothing.
Why there is no signup
Asking for an email address before you can format some JSON is not a fair trade. Every tool works the moment the page loads. There is no free tier that expires, no usage counter, and no upgrade prompt, because there is nothing to upgrade to. The site is funded by ads on the page rather than by collecting and reselling what you paste.
How we choose and test tools
We build a tool when we have needed it ourselves and found the existing options slow or cluttered. Each one is tested against real input rather than a tidy example, including awkward cases like malformed JSON, text pasted out of a PDF, and mixed line endings. We recheck the tools monthly and fix reported bugs before adding new ones.
